This is very good one hotel in Battambang, i really really enjoyed our stayed there, hotel location just one and half kilo meter far from town. i liked the room garden viewed with overlooking to the pool, the room was very comfortable with very nice decoration. The best staff they were so friendly and helpful and had everything you needed. The hotel included for breakfast was amazing i liked the khmer Noddle soup the most. So i strongly recommend the sanctuary villa.
The hotel we usually stay at when we visit battambang was unfortunately booked out. We thought The Sanctuary Villa sounded lovely and looked beautiful on the website. The prices were on the higher end, however reasonable given the location in the centre of town. We had the family room which was two adjoining double rooms. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and had everything you needed. Air conditioner was a welcome treat, as was the fridge, tv and tea/coffee making facilities. The breakfast was included, it was simple yet tasty with eggs cooked to order. The pool was small but inviting on hot days. The staff were incredibly kind and assertive despite their limited English at times. Despite a few hiccups here and there (which are always bound to occur in a developing country), the staff were always happy to assist if we needed anything. We did the cooking class which was great fun and the staff allowed us to relax/swim until we were ready to eat it for lunch in our own time. Allowing them to plate up and serve us just like restaurant guests, yet enjoying the food we cooked. A delicious bottle of wine was included in the price. Special mention to Chetra and Kong for making us feel welcome and attended to our every need. We will be back for our next visit for sure.
The room is big and tidy. I got a good sleep after a day of visit! All staffs are very very nice and helpful!!They will welcome all customers with big smile. Thanks for giving me a sweet memory :) Highly recommended!
We booked in for 5 nights but because of a problem with the hotel's reservation system, we had to stay the first 2 nights at a sister hotel in Wat Kor on the other side of town. This was not a problem though, because Sayan, the manager, communicated the issue early on and the other hotel was also excellent. The rooms at Sanctuary Villa were very large, we had 2 interconnecting rooms with a large double in one room and 2 doubles in the kids room. The rooms are really bungalows set in lush tropical gardens, great for relaxing by the pool. As others have mentioned, the food in the restaurant is excellent and while the breakfast isn't the best we've had in Asia, it's perfectly adequate. The staff are brilliant too, super friendly and they will do whatever they can to make their guests comfortable. The slightly out of town location wasn't a problem as the hotel will arrange a tuk tuk for the short trip into the town centre. Overall, good value for money, would stay again.
